We are so proud to present our ice-in-cave research project on Wednesday 26th, 2019 at the Department of Geography (Faculty of Geosciences) of the Rurh University in Bochum (Germany). Renato R. Colucci, scientific project leader of C3, during its invited talk will be presenting what have been done in the last three years of the project showing the main results obtained especially in regards to the microclimatology of such environments and the links with permafrost evolution.
Over the last week end, favorauble weather and logistic conditions allowed us to organize a detailed topographic survey of one of the new ice caves we are going to work in. Besides this ordinary activity, the Parco Naturale delle Prealpi Giulie gave us the chance of sampling the ice layers at the bottom of the cave.
